Your Podiatrists....

The Great British Podiatry Clinic Ltd, started its journey in Victoria, Australia in 2013 by Nicholas and Amanda Fraser, a Husband and Wife Podiatry Team originally from the North-East of England.  Our Australian Patients affectionally called us 'The Pom-mie Podiatrists' hence we kept our British roots and established our brand.  Our 'purple' colour branding is the red, white and blue of the Union Jack mixed together to give us purple!

We have 36 years of Podiatry experience between us and have now brought our expertise to Dumfries.  We believe that there is a whole person attached to that foot pain and every person is unique, therefore, everyone is given a full assessment and time to tell us what their problems are.

Amanda Fraser BSc (Honours) Podiatry.  MRCoP

I graduated at New College Durham  in 2005 with a Batchelor of Science degree in Podiatry.
A large part of my Podiatry career has been
involved with the High-Risk foot involving specialist wound care in those patients with diabetes and poor circulation working in both hospital and community care settings.
As a private practitioner  I have had more involvement in MSK, biomechanics, orthotic prescription and dry needling.  My current passion involves the use of low level Laser therapy to aid in the speedy recovery of soft tissue injuries.
I love my work and feel there is nothing better than reducing someone's foot pain or making their feet feel better as they walk out the door.
My hobbies include reading books on Myths and Magic, gardening, cooking, DIY and spending time with my two dogs.

Nicholas Fraser.  BSc (honours) Podiatry.  MRCoP.

I achieved my Batchelor of Science degree in Podiatry at New College Durham in 2006.
I was working full-time in the NHS Sspecializing in MSK in the lower limb, but I am now working with full time in our practice.  Like Amanda I have a background in the High-risk foot and wound care, but I have a special interest in MSK and biomechanics, as I love the challenge of being able to reduce a  person's foot pain by correcting their gait in order to keep them mobile and active.
I have a background in Mechanical engineering in the Army, and love DIY, gardening and I'm a 3rd Dan black belt in Goju Ryu Karate.

While my husband was having treatment carried out by Nick who is co-owner of the Great British Podiatry Clinic with his wife Amanda at Lochthorn Medical Centre, Dumfries I was allowed to be in the treatment room while procedures were being carried out..

I was most impressed by the professionalism, the procedures I saw and the information which was given to my husband during and after treatment, including Nick making a referral to our Doctor concerning possible health problems my husband may have which were found during examination of his feet.

I decided to arrange an appointment for myself which I attended today. Treatment was once again carried out by Nick and again I was most impressed by both Nick's professionalism and friendliness and the procedures carried out. I found it all to be a very pleasant experience.

Thank you Nick and I look forward to seeing you next time and meeting Amanda!
